1. English grammar workbook pages 7-14. Tear out and staple to turn in.

2. Select a topic that interests you and is related to the topics or authors studied in class.  Visit two sites that offer valuable information on your topic. Write a research paper on your topic. Cite your two sources using www.easybib.com .

•  one page, double spaced if typed.
• twopage, double spaced if handwritten.
• make sure your paper is fact-based and not opinion.

Keep up with your notebook check items. You will have a Unit Test Friday.

The Wicked Witch of the West and Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz

Both assignments will be from your Interactive Reader and Writer workbook

1. READING: Read pages 75-82. Complete the blue column questions and take the quiz.

2. WRITING: Read pg 83 from top to bottom. Follow the Test-taker toolkit steps. Your are to write a fictional narrative with a plot that involves a superstition. Make sure your story has a setting, characters, and conflict. Only the final draft of this exercise will be graded.
