Agenda and Homework August 27th - 31st.

This week, we will be working exclusively with biographies. We will be reading biographies and locating information to write biographies on your person of interest. We will have a quiz on Friday over the Biography unit. Keep up with your notes and pay attention in class! Weekly homework: You will nominate your favorite citizen for the "The Best Louisianian Award". Locate biographical material, cite sources, create the one-minute nomination speech,and construct a certificate in the winner's honor.

August 13th through the 17th

This week, we will wrap up the preassessments and jump into our first unit - Biography and Autobiography.


Weekly Homework: August 13-17  Due Friday, August 17th at the first of class.

1. Create a list of 20 people you'd be interested in researching for biographies. Your list may include the living and the deceased.

2. Write a letter to your English teacher using the friendly letter format. See attachment on Edmodo.
